  1. Chop onions and tomatoes
  2. Purée half the quantity of tomato and onion
  3. Heat two spoon of groundnut oil, add mustard, jeera, methi seeds, chopped onion, salt and sauté till golden brown. Add turmeric
  4. Add tomatoes and sauté for a while
  5. Add tomato onion purée and sauté for few minutes
  6. Add tamarind juice, jaggery, masala Dhania powder, chilli powder and boil for few minutes. Add curry leaves
  7. Check for consistancy and taste. Add salt and water if necessary. Boil for five minutes and dish out to garnish
