Pan fried paneer or tofu cubes also go very well as a garnish. Cook on medium heat for a minute. Add corn kernels and continue cooking for two to three minutes. Add basmati rice, stirring gently for about a minute. : Method of Preparation: Wash rice and drain it , keep aside.

  1. Firstly wash rice and soak for 10 to 15 minutes
  2. Also wash and rinse palak nicely and grind it in a mixer and make a fine paste. Keep aside.
  3. Take a pan add ghee, heat it properly add cumin seeds. As it splutter and bayleaf, black cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, ginger, chilles. Stir nicely
  4. Then add onion and corn kernels. Mix and stir nicely on medium to high flame.
  5. Drain water from rice. The soaked water can be used further,so keep aside.
  6. Add rice in a pan,stir and mix nicely.
  7. Add palak puree and Mix it with spatula.
  8. Now add black pepper powder, garam masala powder, salt and stir
  9. Add required amount of water.The water used for soaking can be used here.
  10. Cover the pan and let it cook until the rice are cooked properly. In between stir.
  11. Serve hot with curd or raita.
