  5. Close the lid of the cooker till 3-4 whistles.Off the flame.
  6. Cool the cooker and open the lid.
  7. Blend the dal and again keep the cooker on flame.
  8. Add little water as per the dal consistency. Not too thick or not too watery.
  9. Add salt and kokum ke phul.Also add jaggery.
  10. Boil it for 10 -15 minutes.
  11. Now in a small vagareya add 1 tsp Oil.
  12. Add rai, curry leaves and dry red chillies.when it shutters add it to the dal.
  13. Gujarati Dal is ready to serve.
  14. Sprinkle chopped Coriander and serve Piping hot with Rice.
