Missi Roti- No meal is complete without bread or rotis. In India we have lots of variations and variety of making rotis ,paratha and pooris.we use variety of healthy flours and millet to make our breads and. Missi roti is Indian flat bread which has a distinct texture and lot more flavours than the regular roti or chapatti. It is often ordered at the restaurant and dhabas.

  1. Take all given ingredients in a mixing bowl, begin to mix and knead the dough.
  2. Add little by little water and knead a soft smooth dough, if dough becomes sticky then add some little flour, if the dough looks dry then add a bit of water.
  3. Allow the dough to rest for 10 min then make medium size ball from the dough.
  4. Take a dough ball on the rolling board dust some whole wheat flour on the both sides of the balls. And roll it.
  5. Now place on hot twa.when the base is partially cooked flip the roti.
  6. Spread 1tsp oil on the partly cooked part.
  7. When the second side is cooked and brown spots can be seen then flip again, spread some 1tsp oil on this side too.
  8. Press the edges with spatula so that the sides are also cooked well. Now reduce the heat.
  9. Now transfer them on the plate and serve with dahi or any curry's

Although Missi Rotis get their unique flavour from besan, the dough is almost always made with a combination of flours and the addition of soya flour does not harm the original taste in any way.
