Traditional Indian sweet, ghevar is made with flour and soaked in sugar syrup. The crispy deep fried discs are soaked in sugar syrup and garnished with nuts and edible silver leaves to make a special. Ghewar or Ghevar, a true Rajasthani delicacy, is a favorite amongst all.

Ghevar is one of the most popular of recent trending meals on earth. It’s appreciated by millions every day. It is easy, it is quick, it tastes yummy. They are nice and they look wonderful. Ghevar is something that I’ve loved my whole life.

To get started with this particular recipe, we have to first prepare a few ingredients. You can cook ghevar using 12 ingredients and 7 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make Ghevar:
  1. Take 1/2 cup ghee
  2. Get 3-4 ice cubes
  3. Take 11/2 cup maida/ all purpose flour
  4. Get 1/2 cup chilled milk
  5. Take 31/2 cup chilled water
  6. Prepare Ghee for frying as required
  7. Prepare To make sugar syrup:
  8. Make ready 11/2 cup sugar
  9. Make ready 1 cup water
  10. Prepare 1 tbsp cardamoms powder/ elachi powder
  11. Get Dried rose petals to garnish
  12. Make ready Almond- Pistachio flakes to garnish

It is deep fried in a cylinder that is tall enough to be above the oil or ghee surface. Alternatively, pour some syrup evenly all over, keeping ghevar in a mesh placed over a container. Steps to make Ghevar:
  1. In mixing bowl add ghee and ice cubes. Mix with spoon vigorously till ghee turns creamy white mixture. Remove ice cubes.
  2. Add seived maida in batches,mix well to make crumble like mixture.
  3. Add chilled milk and mix well. Add and mix little little chilled water to make thin pouring consistency batter. Keep mixing for few minutes so all ingredients get incorporated. Keep in cool place.
  4. To make sugar syrup..in vessel add sugar and water. Heat it on medium flame, stirring constantly to make one string syrup consistency. Add cardamom powder and off the flame.
  5. Take thick flat bottom vessel. Pour ghee in it,.fill upto 3/4 th fying pan. Heat on high flame. As it get heated, pour 2 tbsp of prepared batter,in continuing thread, at a time in center of hot ghee keeping little distance from hot oil. As forth subside, again pour 2 tbsp of prepared batter. Do this process for 8-10 times, making hole in center with knife. Fry on medium flame till crispy golden. Scrap the sides gently with knife to loosen up Ghevar from frying pan. Strain and take out careful.
  6. Place prepared Ghevar on plate. Pour 2-3 laddleful of prepared sugar syrup on it. Garnish with dried rose petals, almond & pistachio flakes. Serve/Relish Delicious Ghevar delicacy.
