Instructions to make Ragda Patties:
  1. For the Ragda
  2. Soak peas for 8-9 hours or overnight
  3. Cook the peas on the pressure cooker till 5-6 whistles or until soft.off the flame.
  4. In a pan heat oil.Add asofoetida, green chillies chopped.Saute for a minute and add the cooked peas. Add salt, turmeric powder and water to make a semi thick consistency.
  5. Boil the potatoes till 2-3 whistles.Off the gas. Peel and mash the potatoes. Add cornflour, salt and turmeric powder. Mash and mix it well and make equal lemon sized balls.Shape the balls into pattice.
  6. In a pan heat oil on medium flame.Roast the patties till golden brown in colour turning both the sides of the pattice.
  7. Assembling:
  8. In a serving dish place 2-3 patties. Over it pour 2-3 spoons of piping hot Ragda. Now top it with green chutney, Sweet chutney.Sprinkle roasted cumin powder,salt, red chilli powder. Lastly sprinkle sev, Coriander leaves, chopped onions.
  9. Serve immediately.
  10. Delicious, Yummy Snack ready for Party.
