Macher Chop Recipe is a delicious and mouthwatering Bengali Style Fish Croquettes that is normally served as party starter or along with the festive But since no body in our family likes 'Aar Maach', 'Macher Chop' is always made with 'Rui Mach' (Rohu Fish) or 'Katla Maach' (Katol Fish) in our home.   1. Boil the fish pieces into milk for 3-4 mins.
  2. Let it come cool down first. Then remove bone from fish pieces. From Fillet pieces easily can remove bone, so I have used fillet for this case. Keep aside boneless chopped fish.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin, followed by onion. Fry onion golden. Add ginger, garlic, green chillies fry for 2 mins. Add chopped fish, salt, turmeric. Saute 1 min then add chopped coriander and take out from flame.
  4. Add lemon juice and chicken 65 masala and mix it.
  5. Add oats and with hands make flat balls. Keep it refrigerator at least for 1 hr.
  6. Make a medium thin batter with listed ingredients of coating. Whisk it properly with time so it become very crispy and fluffy. Dip each balls into batter and fry it hot oil in medium flame untill it become golden brown.
  7. Serve hot with ketup or any sauce and green chillies. Offcourse you can have with tea or coffee if it is raining outside. It's make compliment to each other.
