  7. Make ready 1 cup daal(any yellow)
  8. Take 3 large tomatoes
  9. Take 2 green chillies
  10. Prepare as per taste Salt, red chilli powder and turmeric
  11. Make ready 3 tsp oil
  12. Take 6 cloves garlic finely chopped
  13. Make ready For Mixed capsicums
  14. Take 1 each of green, yellow and red capsicum
  15. Prepare 5 cloves garlic
  16. Take 1 green chilli
  17. Make ready 1/2 inch ginger
  18. Get Salt and red chilli powder as per taste
  19. Make ready 1 tsp coriander powder
  20. Make ready 1 tsp garam masala
  21. Get 3 potatoes
  22. Take 250 gms ladies fingers
  23. Prepare Dry spices mix: salt, turmeric, red chillipowder, Cummin powder,

  25. Prepare 1 cup rice

Sai Bhaji is protein packed vitamins rich dish which can be accompanied by any bread or rice. A melange of veggies like spinach leaves, dill, sorrel and brinjal, this main dish recipe is ideal for buffets. Best served with Brown rice pulao (recipe posted separately). I learnt this from our family chef, Subru uncle when I was a teenager.

Steps to make Sai bhaji, rice:
  1. Sai bhaji: Wash and finely chop all the greens and onions. Soak daal.
  2. Heat a cooker and add 2tsp oil, Half of chopped garlic and chopped onion. Fry for 5 minutes. Add all the green leaves, carrots, daal and tomatoes. Fry for 3 minutes. Add all the spices, ginger and chillies. Add 1 cup water cover and cook till 4 whistles.
  3. Open the cooker and mash the vegetables with a hand blender or wooden crusher.
  4. Season it with 2tsp oil and remaining garlic.
  5. Heat a non stick pan. Add 1 tsp oil, chopped garlic and chopped capsicums. Stir fry for 5 minutes. Add salt, ginger and spices.
  6. Remove and serve as a side dish.
  7. Boil Potatoes. Peel them and cut into wedges. Deep fry them till crisp.Wash and dry ladies fingers. Remove tops and deep fry them till crisp. Remove on an absorbent paper and sprinkle all the spices and serve immediately.
  8. Boil rice with 2 and a half cup water and salt.
  9. Serve every thing together song with fried Papad and curds.
