Instructions to make Majun (sindhi sweet dish):
  1. Heat pan add water and sugar and let it boil to make sugar syrup.(1 tar consistency) When done switch off gas and keep it aside.
  2. Heat 2 table spoon ghee and saute edible gum till it changes it's colour to pinkish. Remove and cool a bit and then grind it.
  3. Heat remaining ghee in a heavy bottom pan and saute wheat flour on medium flame stirring continuously until golden brown.
  4. Add all ingredients except sugar syrup.(dry fruits, poppy seeds, coconut, cardamom seeds) and mix properly on slow gas.
  5. Add sugar syrup and turn gas on high flame and stir quickly to absorb all water and till it leave sides of pan.Transfer onto greased plate making a thick layer and let it cool for some time.
  6. Cut in diagonal pieces and let it cool completely before storing.
  7. Store in airtight container for 2-3 weeks.
