- Get 1 inch cinnamon stick
- Get 5/6 curryleaves
- Take 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- Prepare 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- Make ready As needed coriander leaves, chopped
You can either shallow fry or deep fry. In the same oil fry slit. For making kadhi pakora, I have used homemade yogurt. The yogurt or curd has to be sour, otherwise kadhi won't taste that good.
Instructions to make Kadhi with onion pakora:
- Firstly, in a bowl take onions, chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and green chilli.also add besan and make a dough like batter. - Now make small balls and deep fry the pakoras. finally, once turned golden brown, drain and keep aside.
- Now, in a large mixing bowl, take curd and besan.also add turmeric, chilli power and salt. mix it,add water, whisk and keep aside.
- Now heat a pan take oil, and hing,mustard, jeera, methi, coriander seeds, red chilli, cinnamon, curry leaves.add finely chopped onions and ginger-garlic paste.
- Now add prepared besan mixture and mix for 12,15 minutes. finally, top with onion pakoras, coriander leaves and serve.
While making pakora, you can see I have added onion which is very basic way to make it. You can do variations by adding methi or spinach alone or along with onions. Taste the Kadhi , you should not taste the rawness of yogurt.
