  1. At first boil the soya chunks in warm water for about 30 minutes.
  2. Wash dal and add in a pressure cooker along with 3 cups of water, soya chunks, peas, turmeric and salt to taste. - Pressure cook until dal is nicely cooked. When it cools down, mash the dal using the back of a ladle.
  3. Now heat some ghee in a pan. Add onion and fry until slightly browned. - Add ginger and garlic and fry for a minute, add green chilli and tomato and cook till tomato become soft.
  4. Now add turmeric powder and red chilli powder and the cooked dal. Then add salt and bring the dal to a boil. Cook for 4-5 minutes then add lemon juice and mix it well.
  5. For tempering, heat ghee in a pan add cumin seeds, dry red chillies and hing then add curry leaves and fry until it turns a little brown.
  6. Now Pour the prepared tempering over the dal. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot.
