- Take 2 cup wheat flour/ghehu atta

- Take 3-4 tsp ghee

- Take as per taste Sugar powder
- Get 5-6 Almonds and cashews
- Take Pinch cardamom powder
- Make ready Daal
- Take 1/4 cup toor daal
- Get 1/4 cup chana daal (soaked for sometimes)
- Take 2 tsp moong daal
- Make ready 2 tsp black splited urad daal
- Take Daal Tadka
- Get 3 tsp oil/ghee
- Prepare 1 big onion, finely chopped
- Prepare 2 medium size tomato, finely chopped
- Take 1 tsp mustard seeds
- Take 1 tsp jeera/cumin seeds
- Make ready Pinch hing
- Make ready 1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste
- Get 1-2 green chilli, slit
- Prepare 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- Take As required Coriander leaves chopped
- Take As required Red chilli powder
- Make ready 1/2 tsp sambhar powder
- Make ready as per taste Salt
Dal Bati Churma is a very popular Rajasthani dish. The mere mention of the crumbled Baatis with the Panchmela Daal is enough to get the taste glands working overtime. Serve with Panchmela Daal and a side of the Churma and be transported to Rajasthan. The dough for baati should be stiff or else the baatis won't be firm.
Instructions to make Daal Bati Churma (Bati without oven):
- First in a a big bowl take all bati ingredients and mix well. (If you have coarse wheat flour then no need to add suji & makka aata)
- Now add water make dough same as poori dough. Make small ball and give cross cut or with finger just press in center. (Refer pic)
- Now in appe pan or steel hot vessel stand place baati and roast on slow flame so that baati should be cooked properly. Keep checking the baati and turn as it's needed. (If you are using hot vessel stand then don't keep baati un center else it will burn) refer pic. It will take 20-25 min.
- Baatis are ready, now let's make churma.
- Take 3 prepared bati and break into mixi, make coarse powder of bati.
- Now in pan, add ghee, one ghee is hot, add coarse baati powder and roast on low flame for 4-5 minutes or till it turns golden.
- Now let it cool down and add sugar powder and crushed dry fruit. Churma is ready.
- Now let's prepare daal, in cooker take daal types of daal mentioned in dal ingredients. Add water, lil salt, turmeric and pressure cook for 4 whistles.
- Now let cooker cool down.
- Take a pan for tadka add oil in it, once oil is hot, add jeera & mustard seeds.
- Now add hing, and chopped onion and fry for 2-3 min on medium flame.
- Add chopped tomatos, turmeric, salt and green chilli. Fry for 2 minutes or till tomatoes become soft. (Careful salt was added in daal also)
- Add red chilli powder & sambhar powder (sambhar powder is optional) but it increase the flavor so I add.
- Now add in cooked daal, 1 cup water or how much consistency you need and mix nicely.
- Cook for 5 minutes and garnish with coriander leaves. Daal is ready.
- Before serving dip baati into melted ghee for 30 second and then serve.
