  1. Get 1 Cup Mix Daal
  2. Prepare 2 Cup Water
  3. Make ready 1 Tea Spoon Turmeric Powder

  6. Make ready 1 Tea Spoon Garam Masala

  10. Prepare 100 grams Chopped Tomatoes
  11. Prepare 100 grams Chopped Onion
  12. Take Some Chopped Coriander leaves
  13. Get Pinch Asafoetida (Hing)
  14. Make ready 2 Spoons Ghee
  15. Get To taste Common Salt

Masoor tadka dal is a delicious Indian lentil curry made with red lentils. It's easy to make, flavorful, and healthy as well as naturally vegan and gluten free! Instant Pot Dal Tadka with Rice, is a delicious one-pot Indian meal. Lentils are flavored with aromatics & spices, and cooked with pot-in-pot rice.

Instructions to make Indian Daal Tadka:
  1. Wash the daal and take it in a Pressure Cooker. Add water, turmeric powder and salt to taste
  2. Pressure cook it on low flame for 10-15 mins (2-3 whistles)
  3. Take a frying pan and put it on flame. Add ghee in it and allow it to become a little hot.
  4. Add cumin seeds and asafoetida. Stir for few secs until it starts crackling…
  5. Add the onions now and stir it till it becomes a light brown. Then add the tomatoes and ginger garlic paste. Stir it for approx 5 mins to allow the tomatoes to cook well…
  6. Add all the spices one by one and stir it for around 5 mins to save it from sticking to the pan bottom (add a splash of water if you see it's sticking)
  7. Now add the already cooked daal and mix it well. Keep it on flame for 1-2 mins and it's ready…
  8. Pour it in a serving bowl… Sprinkle some fresh chopped Coriander leaves and serve it hot.
