But if you want you can. there are several ways dal tadka can be prepared but in this recipe i have used only one pot, i.e pressure cooker to cook yellow moong dal recipe. basically i have sauteed tomato and onions in the pressure cooker to which i added soaked moong-dal. Steps to make Yellow moong daal tadka:
  1. Chopped the onion, garlic ginger and tomato into small pieces. Boil the moong dal in a pressure cooker.
  2. Heat the oil then add Cumin seeds and black pepper, garam spices, bay leaf, Kasuri methi, ginger and garlic pieces
  3. Then add chopped onion and let it be golden.
  4. When onion becomes brown add tomatoes and turmeric powder and leave it until tomato gets soft. And also add salt.
  5. Check whether the tadka is ready or not.
  6. When all is cooked well then add boiled moong daal and stir properly.
  7. Sliced the green chillies vertically and In different utensils do the deep fry.
  8. Now garnish the daal with chopped fresh green coriander leaves and fried chillies.
