  2. Prepare 2 cup yoghurt
  3. Prepare 1/2 tsp chilli powder

Kadhi is a blend of yogurt and besan (gram flour) with besan pakoras. Kadhi is served with plain white rice. Kadhi pakora or Punjabi kadhi is the perfect vegetarian comfort food from North India. Vegetable fritters (pakoras) are coated in a chickpea flour mix and fried to golden-brown perfection.

Steps to make Kadhi pakora:
  1. For that in a bowl mix all ingredients for pakora and keep aside ready
  2. Then heat oil in a kadai when it's hot turn the heat to medium and using a spoon drop a small portion of pakora into the oil and deep fry till it turns golden brown and crisp
  3. Once done transfer to a paper towel and keep aside
  4. Then mix yoghurt and besan to a lump free batter and add water mix well and keep aside
  5. Now for kadhi -heat oil in a kadai when it's heated add methi seeds and cumin seeds allow to splutter then add ginger pastel and fry well add turmeric powder chilli powder and curry leaves and few slices patato (if desired) salt and stir fry for 2-3minutes
  6. Now add the yoghurt besan mixture stir well and bring it to boil
  7. Keep constant stirring to avoid lumps and burnt at the bottom
  8. Kadhi should be cooked for 30minutes once kadi boiled well and raw smell leaves add the pakora stir gently and simmer for 2minutes
  9. Now add some chopped coriander leaves and serve with plain rice
