  2. Put soaked Daals along with water in the pressure cooker. Add salt and turmeric powder and remaining 2 bowls of water. Pressure cook for 5 minutes after first whistle. Keep aside to release the pressure automatically.
  3. Heat oil in a karahi and put cumin seeds and when cumin seeds splutter put finely chopped onions and asafetida. Sauté till onions turned transculent.
  4. Now add chopped tomatoes and saute till oil leaves the karahi.
  5. Serve hot with chapatti or rice.
